Capricorn: the quiet machinery of a winter plan
Capricorn does not romanticise winter, which is precisely why it suits her. Summer is full of interruption; the cold months are uninterrupted. With fewer invitations to decline and less daylight to feel guilty about wasting, she can finally run the long, boring, unglamorous stretch of work that moves a plan forward by an entire year.
Watch a Capricorn in December and you will see the paradox: outwardly she is doing the least sociable version of her life, and inwardly she is at her most ambitious. The trick for her is not productivity — she has that covered — but remembering to tell someone what she is building, before she resurfaces in March with a finished thing and nobody who shared the making of it.
Pisces: the imagination gets its room back
Pisces finds high summer loud. Everything is happening at once, all of it visible, none of it allowing the drift that is her natural state. The dark half of the year gives her back the unstructured hours in which she actually generates things — pages, songs, ideas, a sudden conviction about how to change her life.
The shadow side is real: Pisces can go so far inwards that she loses the thread back out. The version of her winter that works involves at least two fixed appointments a week with other human beings, so the drifting has edges. Within those edges, she is producing her best work of the year and barely noticing.
