Capricorn: the one who can't put the work down
Capricorn's unease is structural. The year-end brings deadlines, reviews and the uncomfortable business of measuring what was achieved against what was promised in January. Then, just as the pressure peaks, the calendar demands she stop and be merry for a fortnight. Rest arrives as an instruction rather than a reward, and Capricorn has never been good at being told to relax.
The kindest approach is to give the holiday a shape rather than fighting for emptiness. A clear last working day, an actual plan for the first two days off, and one small project that is hers alone — a stack of books, a long-postponed cupboard, a route she wants to walk. Capricorn rests best when rest looks a little like intention.
Pisces: the one who absorbs the whole room
Put Pisces in a house with eleven relatives and a simmering twenty-year grievance and she will feel every bit of it, usually in her shoulders. She notices the aunt who has been crying in the bathroom, the brother-in-law whose job is not going well, the parent who is quieter than last year. By the evening she is exhausted and cannot entirely explain why, since on paper she only passed the potatoes.
Pisces needs exits. A planned reason to leave the room — the dog, the shops, an errand — repeated every couple of hours. She also needs permission not to fix anything. The grievances in that house predate her and will outlast the afternoon; she is allowed to witness without absorbing, which is a skill that takes practice and genuinely can be learned.
