The Chronicles of Narnia Returns – Greta Gerwig’s New Adaptation Is Coming

After the sensational success of Barbie, Greta Gerwig is taking on a big new project: she’s directing The Magician’s Nephew, a Narnia film commissioned by Netflix. Filming starts this year, and the premiere is set for December 26, 2026, on Netflix and in IMAX theaters.

The story follows Digory and Polly as they travel to other worlds using a magical ring and accidentally unleash dark forces.
Tarantino’s World Comes Alive Again: The Adventures of Cliff Booth Are Here

Filming runs from July 2025 to January 2026, with a release expected at the end of the year.
Details are scarce, but rumors say Booth will act as Hollywood’s "problem solver," getting into more action than ever before. The cast includes Carla Gugino, Elizabeth Debicki, Scott Caan, and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II.

Directed by Thea Sharrock and written by Natalie Krinsky, Cinco Paul, and Katie Silberman, the film also features Richard E. Grant, Emily Mortimer, Fiona Shaw, and Charles Dance.
The Mosquito Bowl – An American Football Game in the Midst of War

Coming from director Peter Berg, The Mosquito Bowl is an inspiring war drama based on a true story. During World War II, at the Guadalcanal front, U.S. Marines played a friendly football game — many of whom didn’t return from the next brutal battle. This film promises to be touching, uplifting, and historically significant. Starring Bill Skarsgård, Ray Nicholson, Nicholas Galitzine, and Tom Francis, it’s set to premiere by the end of 2026.
Office Romance – Jennifer Lopez Returns in a Romantic Comedy

Last but not least, Jennifer Lopez returns next year in a new romantic comedy, Office Romance. She plays a confident, driven leader who strictly follows her own rule: no dating at work… until a charming lawyer shows up. Brett Goldstein, Betty Gilpin, and Bradley Whitford also star. While the exact release date isn’t set, filming has already wrapped.
All in all, Netflix’s 2026 lineup already looks incredibly promising. Next year, expect not only entertainment but inspiration, surprises, and stories that make you think. Which movie are you most excited to see?
