After the sensational success of Barbie, Greta Gerwig is taking on a big new project: she’s directing The Magician’s Nephew, a Narnia film commissioned by Netflix. Filming starts this year, and the premiere is set for December 26, 2026, on Netflix and in IMAX theaters.
The cast is simply stunning: Emma Mackey (Sex Education) plays the villainous Queen Jadis, Daniel Craig stars as Uncle Andrew, and Carey Mulligan and Meryl Streep are also part of the film, with Streep reportedly bringing Aslan to life. The story follows Digory and Polly as they travel to other worlds using a magical ring and accidentally unleash dark forces.

Next year, we’ll see Brad Pitt back as Cliff Booth — but this time, not directed by Quentin Tarantino. The character he played in "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood" is getting his own film, The Adventures of Cliff Booth, written by Tarantino and directed by David Fincher. Filming runs from July 2025 to January 2026, with a release expected at the end of the year.
