Drumroll, Please: Meet the Cast of White Lotus Season 4 — Leisure
In this article

The next wave of guests has officially arrived in the world of White Lotus. The HBO series’ fourth season will be set in France, promising once again a mix of tension, luxury, and subtly toxic human dynamics based on the cast lineup.

The first two names were confirmed back in December 2025: Alexander Ludwig and AJ Michalka, known from the pop duo Aly & AJ, are joining the new season. By January 2026, the list grew with Helena Bonham Carter, Steve Coogan, Chris Messina, and newcomers Caleb Jonte Edwards and Marissa Long officially signing on to White Lotus.

What’s the Season 4 Storyline?

This time, the story unfolds at a luxury resort in France, mainly along the French Riviera, with a side plot set in Paris. According to Variety, the Cannes Film Festival might also feature in the storyline, as it takes place in May—right after filming begins.

Mike White previously hinted at wanting to move away from tropical settings: “I want to step away a bit from the visual world of waves crashing against rocks.”

Still, the crew notes White “hates the cold,” so Southern France feels like the perfect middle ground. Reports say one main filming location will be the Château de La Messardière hotel in Saint-Tropez, marking a change from the series’ tradition of filming every season at a Four Seasons hotel. As before, multiple hotels and locations will feature in the production.

Confirmed Cast for Season 4

Helena Bonham Carter

Two-time Oscar nominee and nine-time Golden Globe nominee, known for iconic films like Fight Club, the Harry Potter series, and Sweeney Todd, plus two seasons on The Crown.

Steve Coogan

The British actor is best known for his character Alan Partridge and has appeared in Night at the Museum, Despicable Me, Tropic Thunder, and Philomena, for which he earned an Oscar nomination as co-writer.

Chris Messina

Star of The Mindy Project, Sharp Objects, and The Sinner, recently seen in two seasons of True Story. His film credits include Argo and Ben Affleck’s Air.

Alexander Ludwig

Most widely recognized as Björn Ironside from Vikings, he also appeared in Bad Boys and as Cato in The Hunger Games. After casting, he said: “An incredible honor. Thank you, Mike White, for the trust.”

AJ Michalka

Former Disney star and member of the pop duo Aly & AJ. She’s appeared in Super 8 and various TV series. After the announcement, she wrote: “Checked in! Let’s party, Mike White.”

Caleb Jonte Edwards

Up-and-coming Australian actor who previously appeared in the crime series Black Snow and several short films.

Marissa Long

Season 4 will be her first TV role. Known as a model, she has mostly appeared in short films. On Instagram, she responded to the news: “Beyond grateful. Can’t wait for this journey.” In her personal life, she’s in a relationship with Tanner Zagarino, an actor from the series Summerland.

Could Past Characters Return?

It’s still unknown if any previous season’s characters will come back, but the show’s tradition always leaves room for that chance. Jennifer Coolidge, Jon Gries, and Natasha Rothwell’s past returns have shown that in the White Lotus universe, nothing is ever truly closed.
