I had a dream about my ex-girlfriend before we even met. Red hair, green eyes, standing on a street corner, clutching her suitcase, crying. Two years later, she stood in the exact same spot when we broke up—just like in my dream.

I must have been seven, playing at home with my two-year-old little brother. I held one of my toys—a Transformers robot—above my head, making buzzing sounds as I flew it around. My brother loved it. But when I let go for it to land on my pillow, it stayed in the air for a few seconds—literally floating—before dropping onto the bed. My brother clapped and squealed, thinking it was part of the show, while I was terrified.

I was about 14, arguing with my mom because I hadn’t done my chores. In anger, I rushed downstairs and bumped into her washing dishes in the kitchen. She smiled at me—and I almost fainted.

I was born the same day my grandpa passed away. There’s an old family story: when I was five and shown his photo, I said, “I know him—I met him when I was coming down.”

My dad and I got out of the car in a mall parking lot and noticed a family packing up nearby: dad, mom, little girl, and baby. The little girl stared at us, and my dad and I exchanged looks—something felt off. When we entered the mall, the same family passed us again. We looked at each other, confused.
