Turns out, “nothing terrible” meant he had an affair with a coworker at a company event. The worst part? He even threw it in my face, saying he hoped I’d handle his confession much smarter. “Why are you reacting like this? We’ve been through this before, and you took it like a wise woman. Have you lost your wisdom with age? I didn’t expect this from you!” Needless to say, we no longer live together.

Unpleasant Surprise
One day, I felt awful at work and was sent home early. I thought my partner was asleep, but he was with another woman. All the love I felt for him burst like a soap bubble. I walked into the room, turned on the light, and they screamed and scrambled in panic. Calmly, I said, “Get out, I want to sleep.” Then I went to bed. Ten minutes later, my boyfriend escorted his girlfriend out and came back to wake me up. He said he wanted to apologize, but I didn’t want to hear it.
The next morning, I packed my things while my ex followed me around the apartment, trying to hug and kiss me. I was disgusted by his touch. I temporarily moved in with a friend and erased my ex from my life—deleted all photos and messages like he never existed.
