If you’re one of those who start listening to Christmas songs in October and feel like hot chocolate is a must at the first sign of chilly weather, we’ve got fantastic news: a truly heartwarming Christmas movie is coming soon to Netflix, starring none other than the Virgin River star herself!

Many of us are eagerly awaiting the new season of Virgin River, expected to premiere within the next 2-3 months. But while we wait to find out the exact date, mark your calendar for December 3rd: that’s when My Secret Santa arrives, featuring Alexandra Breckenridge, known for Melt, who this time brings Santa Claus to life.

A Mom Who Would Do Anything for Her Child

My Secret Santa centers on Taylor Jacobson (Alexandra Breckenridge), a single mom doing everything she can to raise money for her daughter’s dream snowboard camp. When options run out, Taylor comes up with a bold plan: she disguises herself as a man to land a seasonal job—as Santa Claus—at a stylish mountain ski resort, Sun Peaks.

From here, the story unfolds into a heartwarming and funny journey: Taylor’s secret becomes harder to keep, especially after meeting the charming and attentive resort manager, Matthew Layne (Ryan Eggold). The chemistry between them is undeniable, but will the secret behind the Santa beard ruin their blossoming romance?

Snowfall, Humor, and Sparkling Romance

My Secret Santa has all the Christmas movie magic we love: touching mother-daughter bonds, snow-covered landscapes, unexpected twists, and a sprinkle of romantic fun.

The story is both funny and heartfelt, with festive vibes guaranteed by director Mike Rohl, who’s proven that Christmas on screen can be pure magic.

The cast also includes Tia Mowry and Madison MacIsaac. The screenplay is by Carley Smale and Ron Oliver, who also worked on the Netflix Christmas romance starring Lindsay Lohan.

Virgin River’s New Season Is Coming Soon

As mentioned, Alexandra Breckenridge won’t be the only familiar face returning soon—Virgin River’s new season is also on its way to Netflix.

Fans of small-town romance and heartfelt stories have a festive treat ahead: first, My Secret Santa brings the Christmas magic, then Virgin River’s new season warms up the chilly months.

One thing’s almost certain: Breckenridge will once again deliver the lovable, natural charm that so many viewers adore. The difference? This time, she’s winning hearts in a Santa suit, with plenty of humor to spice things up.

A Festive Movie for All Ages

My Secret Santa isn’t just a romantic film—it’s a family-friendly story about love, sacrifice, and togetherness, all wrapped in a light, entertaining package.

At 92 minutes, it’s the perfect pick for a cozy winter night—grab a cup of hot tea, a warm blanket, and some Christmas lights to complete the vibe.

If You Loved Virgin River, This Movie Will Steal Your Heart Too

The cozy small-town feel of Virgin River and the snowy, romantic world of My Secret Santa share a common thread: a heartwarming story that reminds us love and faith are the best gifts of the season.

So find your favorite Christmas playlist, turn on the fairy lights, and let yourself be swept away by the magic of Netflix’s most charming Christmas movie this year.
