I had to work on a project with three lazy coworkers. After weeks of doing all the work myself, I told them I wasn’t happy about it. Behind my back, they snitched to the boss, who removed me from the project. But they forgot I still had access, so that night I edited my work on the shared drive and added a cheeky "kiss my ass" at the end of their nonsense. The next morning, as I was handing in my resignation, I overheard the boss yelling at them. It felt amazing.

I hooked up with a coworker I knew was married. One night, I took a Tinder date to the movies, and while waiting in line, there was my coworker’s lover with her husband. When she saw us, she ran up and shouted at my date, "Oh, what a lovely couple! Did she tell you she’s sleeping with me every lunch break or did she forget?" I just stared at the husband, who was stunned. My date left, but my coworker’s marriage was ruined.

My grandfather owned a big general store in his village, selling everything from tools to food and his own fruit. He wanted to hang a banner between two buildings, but the authorities refused. Furious, he vowed to ruin the whole village. The officials laughed, but he quickly moved the store and his staff to the next village. Within two years, everyone shopped there, many moved, and his old village declined. Until his death, he said they should have just let him hang the banner.

In high school, my best friend and I had to rehearse and perform a short play. She was mad at me the day before and refused to speak during the performance. We both failed. I was good at literature, so only my final grade dropped a bit, but she had to retake the exam. Still, she said it was worth it.

My friends know I’m afraid of water. I can swim but only in pools where I see the bottom—no rivers, lakes, or sea. They convinced me to go boating, promising no rough moves. I wore my swim trunks and got in. Everything was fine until one of them decided I had to face my fear and tried to push me into the water. I grabbed them back in anger, and all three of us ended up in the lake. I was just wet and mad, but their expensive phones sank, and their IDs and money got soaked.

My boss unfairly scolded me and when I stood up for myself, he said he didn’t want a loudmouth employee and fired me on the spot. I’d been working hard on an important project for weeks and cried because it was so unfair. Sitting at my desk, sniffling, the gloating secretary brought my termination papers.

I signed them, packed up, then my sadness turned to anger. Before leaving, I deleted all my work from the computer. The next day, I smiled listening to my coworkers—some begged, some threatened, all desperate. Eventually, the big boss "came down" and said he’d rehire me if I could find the files, but I told him to forget it.

My neighbor’s plum tree hung over my garden. He spent only a few weeks there in summer, while my family and I lived there from spring to fall. I always picked the plums that fell into my yard. One time he caught me and got furious, accusing me of stealing. I told him the plums would just rot on my side anyway, and he said I should pick them and give them to him.

I asked if he seriously expected me to work for him by collecting his plums. The whole situation was ridiculous. The next day, when we came home from the beach, the tree was cut down: the crazy guy chose to destroy his beautiful tree rather than let me gather the fruit that fell on my land. I still can’t believe it.

As a contract soldier, my superior threatened to report me for drinking alcohol and send me home. I told him fine—but what he didn’t know was I had photos from that night showing him drinking with the whole squad. In the end, everyone got disciplined, but it hurt the high-ranking officer the most.

Our coach threatened our best striker, Beni, that he’d bench him if he didn’t train harder. Before a crucial match, our other striker got sick, and we knew only Beni could save us. He said he’d only play if the coach apologized, which the coach refused. So Beni didn’t play. We lost the match and got relegated, but Beni said it was still worth it.

I was in high school when a classmate snitched to the teacher that I was cheating on a test. Angry, I told her her boyfriend was cheating on her with a blonde from class B (which was true). After that, the guy and half the school hated me until graduation, but she took a long time to get over the breakup, so I don’t regret it.
