From sunscreen and your favorite sunglasses to the best beach games, this list has all the essentials to make your vacation simple and super fun!

Beach Gear:

  • soft, oversized beach towels,

  • foldable loungers for comfortable relaxing,
  • sun umbrella or beach tent to stay protected from heatstroke.

Clothing and Footwear:

  • light, breathable summer clothes,
  • stylish swimsuits,

  • comfortable sandals,
  • water shoes if the shore is rocky or pebbly.

If You’re Missing Something

If one of your favorite items from the list isn’t at home, don’t panic! Nowadays, almost everything is easy to get with a quick online order or a visit to a nearby drugstore, sports shop, or supermarket.

For example, if you run out of sunscreen, head to the closest drugstore where you can easily find a suitable one. If you’re missing a beach towel or cooler bag, larger stores or sports retailers often have practical, easy-to-pack options.

Online shopping is especially convenient—just a couple of clicks and a waterproof phone case or a trendy beach wrap could be on its way to you. That way, nothing will stand between you and your perfect day, and packing will be all about fun!

How Much to Pack

If you’re heading to the water for just one day, you probably won’t need much—your trusted sunscreen, a towel, swimsuit, a couple of light clothes, and the key accessories will do. A few refreshing snacks and drinks in your cooler bag will keep you energized all day.

But if you’re planning a multi-day beach trip, it’s smart to pack a bit more. Think about having at least one clean swimsuit per day to stay dry and fresh.

Bring extra towels, especially if you’re with family or friends or spend a lot of time in the water. Layering light clothes is the most practical approach: mix and match loose summer dresses, beach wraps, and don’t forget a couple of comfy sandals or flip-flops.

Adjust your food and drink supplies based on the length of your stay (and the dining options nearby), and always carry enough water! This way, you’ll have everything you need, and your beach time will be all about relaxing and recharging.
