An Evening When the Body Spoke
At the end of May, the Forrai Art School’s fashion show came alive again with vibrant creativity. BODY LANGUAGE // TESTBESZÉD FASHIONSHOW wasn’t just a school event – it was a cultural experience where body, movement, and clothing spoke one language.

More than 90 young creators showcased nearly 150 unique pieces exploring the special bond between fashion and body language. The capsule collections focused on three themes: emotions and communication, movement and dynamics, and cultural differences. These weren’t just visual ideas – they were real thoughts, feelings, and reflections woven into fabric, cut into shapes, and shaped into installations.

More Than a School – An Artistic Space Where Ideas Take Shape
For years, Forrai Art School has been a cornerstone in Hungary for fashion, costume, and set design education. Their annual fashion show isn’t just a year-end event – it’s a full professional project where students guide their creations from the first idea all the way to the runway.
This year, the graduating fashion design class took charge of organizing and running the show, guided by their mentor, Tímea Birtalan-Tóbiás, head of the arts department. Ultimately, the event came to life through the collective effort of the entire school community.

Design That Tells a Story
The runway was more than a stage for clothes – its visual world moved on a theatrical level. Costume and set design students created visual concepts for classic and contemporary works (like Bizet’s Carmen and Tim Burton’s Sweeney Todd), blending fashion and theater.
Choreographies from the dance department of Nemes Nagy Ágnes Art High School deepened the emotional impact – body language, movement, clothing, and rhythm worked together in perfect harmony.
Fashion That Makes You Think – and Be Yourself
The show attracted many industry guests: professors from Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design, the Hungarian University of Fine Arts, and leading professionals all praised the event. And rightly so – these young designers conveyed not just style but real substance.
Forrai students weren’t afraid to speak out – not with words, but with silhouettes, textures, and movement. Their messages whispered sometimes, spoke firmly at others, but always came from the heart. That kind of courage beats any trend.

Why Choose Quality Designer Education?
If you’ve ever thought about studying in a creative field, there are plenty of reasons to pick a quality design program. But if I had to highlight one: here, creativity doesn’t stay theoretical – it becomes something you can touch and wear. If you’re considering a career in fashion, theater, or film, exploring respected schools like Forrai Art School is definitely worth it.
The school’s fashion, costume, and set design programs don’t just teach – they prepare you for the real world. Students work on real projects during their studies: designing collections, creating costumes, developing film set concepts, all while growing their unique vision and creative freedom.

Style Is More Than Fashion – It’s Self-Expression
Fashion today isn’t just about what we wear, but how we express ourselves through it. Forrai Art School teaches not only the basics of design but also how to make that self-expression authentic and true to yourself.

All in all, it’s a fantastic opportunity for anyone wanting to find their own style and build a thoughtful, creative career. Applications are currently open for the September intake.
