The British Zava Magazine studied the breast sizes of 1,000 American and 1,000 European women, then compared the results with the average European and American breast sizes. Luckily, the survey included both men and women, leading to some really interesting insights. There’s strong agreement on the main points: over 60% of women and nearly 54% of men preferred the average breast size. About 31% of women and 35% of men considered larger breasts ideal. Meanwhile, 9% of women and 11% of men found smaller breasts more attractive.

The survey revealed that 52% of women thought a C cup was just right, while nearly 26% preferred a B cup. Men mostly agreed, with 48% favoring the C cup. Some preferred larger sizes, D and above, making up 27%. According to the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, Germany, France, and Italy led Europe in breast surgeries in 2015, including implants, lifts, and reductions. Like much of Europe, women in these countries mostly desired C-cup breasts. Interestingly, respondents in Poland and Hungary leaned more toward the B cup.

As expected, many places show a gap between natural cup size and preferred size. In Austria, Germany, Hungary, Italy, the Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, and the U.S., respondents wished women had breasts one cup size larger than the actual average. Some countries, like Romania and Poland, preferred smaller than average sizes. In contrast, men and women in the U.S., England, Belgium, and France seem satisfied, as the preferred C cup matches the average breast size there. For Hungary, this means women’s average size is an A cup, but men tend to prefer the slightly larger B cup.

So, how satisfied are we really?
The survey also asked women and their partners how satisfied they are. It turns out 70% of men are happy with their partner’s size, 21% felt neutral, and only 9% thought their partner’s size was too small or too large. Women, however, are less forgiving: only 55% said they were satisfied with their breast size, while men showed 91% happiness with their partners.
