Spa Night
I treat myself to a relaxing spa night every week. I don’t have a bathtub, only a shower, but I light a scented candle and play some calming music. I apply a hair mask, a face mask, exfoliate my body with a scrub, and do my nails and toes. After that, I always sleep like a dream.
Order Brings Peace
Try tidying up a bit. Wait, don’t stress—it’s not as bad as it sounds. Organizing and decluttering can be really rewarding. I set a timer for 20, 30, or up to 45 minutes and work only as much as I feel like, so it never feels overwhelming.
If you have lots of energy, tackle a whole room or closet. If not, focus on a shelf or drawer. A neat storage space or a bag of donated clothes always feels great. The same goes for photos on your phone—try deleting unnecessary pictures and screenshots weekly.

Paper and Pen
After a tough day or when my mind feels cluttered, if all I want is to zone out, I turn to coloring. There are amazing adult coloring books—I love them. Journaling is also great, but since I never kept a diary as a kid, I write down things I’m grateful for instead. My psychologist friend says it’s fantastic for mental health, and I always feel better afterward.
Miles and Smiles
Exercise would be a no-brainer, but I’m not naturally sporty. Luckily, my friends convinced me to walk regularly, so we have a weekly walking day. No need to dress up or prepare—we just go wherever we want. Sometimes we aim for a park; other times we wander aimlessly, chatting along the way. In summer, we grab ice cream; in winter, we hunt for mulled wine.

Never Stop Learning
Sign up for an online course. It can be anything you’re curious about: language learning, graphic design, astrology, flower arranging, cocktail mixing, web development, photography, baking, and more. Many free courses are available from universities and museums, so it doesn’t have to cost a thing.
Tunes to Soothe
Listening to music is quality time—make it intentional! Pick a favorite album or one you’ve never heard before and listen from start to finish. Watching a lyric video while you listen helps you dive deeper into the experience.

Cleanse Your Space
Clean something—maybe your oven or fridge. Toss expired canned goods and sauces. (Be honest, when was the last time you really deep-cleaned your fridge?) Wash your makeup brushes, check your makeup bag, and throw out dried mascara, nail polish, or lipsticks you haven’t used in ages. Empty your purse regularly too—I always find tons of gum wrappers, crumpled tissues, and random scraps.
Cook Ahead
I used to think “meal prep” was just a fancy fitness influencer trend, but now I see how practical it is. I cook or bake a big batch of food in advance, portion it out, and have lunch ready for several days. I just grab it from the fridge in the morning and take it to work. It saves me both money and time.

Social Butterfly
If you have a family, your playmates are right there. If you’re single—like me—set up a weekly game night. My crew is my neighbor, cousin, and best friend, and we meet on Wednesdays—the one day everyone’s free. I love Scrabble, but we switch games every week. I’m thrilled because before this, I only played board games on vacations, and my friend only at Christmas.
Phone Catch-Ups
I have a grandma living in the countryside and a friend abroad. Since we rarely meet in person, I call them weekly at a set time. It keeps us updated on each other’s lives in a much more personal way than texting.
