I was hit by a car while riding my motorcycle and fell hard—I didn’t even know where I was. I heard a man yelling at the woman who hit me, asking why she wasn’t more careful. Then he helped me up, got me into his car, drove me to the hospital, stayed with me while the doctor examined me, and waited until all tests were done. I escaped with a broken arm and a concussion. While I was being checked, he went back to the accident scene, talked to the police, secured my damaged motorcycle, and even took photos in case the insurance needed them. He spent half the day with me, and I was so dazed I never even asked his name.

I was waiting for the bus when a black car stopped beside me. A muscular, suit-wearing man with a gangster vibe hurried over and asked how old I was. "25," I stammered. He said, "Good," then got back in his car and drove off. To this day, I have no idea who he was or why my age mattered—it was surreal.

Today, I’m a pediatrician, a path no one but her ever believed I’d take.

I proposed to my girlfriend, she said no, packed up, called her dad, and moved out. I went to the gym because I couldn’t stay home alone. After training, I sat in the sauna alone and suddenly broke down crying, unable to stop. Then a blonde woman came in. I was mortified, imagining her gossiping about the big tattooed guy crying in the sauna. Instead, she kindly asked what was wrong.

Sniffling, I told her. She shared that her wedding dress and venue were booked last year when her fiancé left her two months before the wedding. "I thought it was the end of the world, but a year later, I feel better than ever. Believe me, everything will be okay." I thanked her for her kindness, said goodbye, and never saw her again.

At 13, I accidentally wandered into a warehouse full of toys, thinking it was a store, but it was actually a factory. A man asked who I was and what I was doing there. I apologized for wandering in. It turned out he was the owner, who kindly gave me a tour and let me pick a toy. One of my best childhood memories.

I was in India with my fiancée when the owner of a small beach café was so kind he brought out tables and chairs so we could dine right by the water. Ten years later, I returned, and though I never dreamed he’d remember me, he did—even recalling how he set the table on the sand. He asked where my lady was; I told him we’d divorced. We talked for an hour about life’s big questions, like old friends. It was amazing and unforgettable.
