5 Garden Plants That Bring Positive Energy and Attract Prosperity — Garden & terrace
In this article

You’ve probably heard about houseplants known for symbolizing luck, abundance, or well-being. Aloe vera, for example, is often linked to healing and protection, while hydrangeas symbolize gratitude. Houseplants are a quick, easy way to bring harmony indoors—but your garden’s flowers, shrubs, and trees carry their own special meanings too. Your garden’s plants have their own unique symbolism.

If you want fresh energy, positive change, and a little extra luck in your life, plant some of these this spring.

1. Peony (Paeonia spp.)

Want to attract more financial abundance this year? Plant peonies. One of their meanings is "full of money." In Asia, they’ve been cultivated for centuries for their stunning blooms and medicinal roots. Once considered a precious plant, their roots were highly valued—but if you managed to grow and propagate a few, selling flowers and roots could bring serious income.

Beyond symbolism, peonies are simply breathtaking. Their lush, full blooms add a romantic, lush vibe to your garden—and they make gorgeous cut flowers indoors. When they bloom, don’t hesitate to snip a few stems to fill your living room with spring energy.

2. Colorful Roses (Rosa spp.)

The rose is a classic symbol of love, but color matters. Red stands for passion, yet if you want luck and positive vibes in your garden, go for yellow or green roses instead.

Green roses symbolize good luck, renewal, rebirth, and fertility—like a fresh new chapter beginning. Yellow roses represent joy, friendship, optimism, warmth, and good fortune. Their bright hues instantly brighten your garden and bring sunny cheer indoors when arranged in a bouquet.

3. Peruvian Lily (Alstroemeria spp.)

You might not have grown it in your garden yet, but you’ve likely seen Peruvian lilies in bouquets. Also called inkaliliom, they bloom in clusters and are especially grateful as cut flowers.

They bloom abundantly, and when happy, they add color, shape, and texture to your flower beds for years. Their meaning is tied to friendship, devotion, aspiration, wealth, well-being, and luck—a true message bearer in the language of flowers.

4. Pussy Willow (Salix discolor)

Pussy willow is fascinating not only when everything else blooms. Early spring brings soft, silvery catkins that are a special sight on their own. In Asian traditions, pussy willow symbolizes luck, prosperity, abundance, and love.

The small, fuzzy catkins connect to silver and wealth, while the flexible branches represent adaptability and resilience in tough times.

One thing to remember: pussy willow spreads vigorously. Its roots can extend over 10 feet (3 meters), so avoid planting near your house foundation, drains, or sewer lines.

5. Spruce Pine (Pinus glabra)

This evergreen tree brings positive energy to your garden all year round. It stays green through winter and thrives even in less-than-ideal conditions—that’s where its symbolism comes from. Spruce pine tolerates shade and wet soil where other pines struggle. Its meaning: hope during challenging times.

If you want 2026 to be a year of abundance and good vibes, start with your garden. Time in nature lifts your mood—and planting with care and love gives back in so many ways.
